Last week with my temp staff ...

Yesterday was one of my temp staff, Edmund's last day. He is going to Tekong Island in 1/2 month's time :) Other than giving him a small gift, I give the 3 of them a treat to KFC also. Cos I'll be handing the Email task and the temp staffs over to my other colleague next wk. The treat is to thank them for helping me over the month. Of cos I told the other 2 that I wont be treating them on their last day... *burn hole in pocket if I do...*

On the way to KFC, met some other colleagues, they say "wow, so good har, treat them". I told them that they can't, cos they got 10 temp staff in their team while I got only 3! hahaha...

I saw Kia Heng playing witht he PSP and I asked them whose is it. EDmund heard wrongly and thought I asked what is it & he replied " This is a PSP".... Arghhh....... The 2 guys names Diana as the 'rich gal' cos she bought a PSP... They are all very nice pple... Edmund looks kind of serious yesterday... Guess it is always sad to leave once u r familiar and comfortable at one place...

Anyway, @ KFC, Kia Heng taught us a rather disgusting way to eat KFC's cheese fries...

To put chilli sauce and stir in with the cheese and fries.... Arghhh...... Anyway, it taste better than it looks! Try it next time!

Back to office, we took photos... I asked csh to take for us... Although she said that she is a bad photographer, I still insists that all will be ok... So how are the photos? You decide for urself...

Zyon's results

On Wed, zyon took back his papers... Here are his results:
Eng Paper II: 26/55
Maths: 72/100
Chinese: 66.5/80

So... Eng is expected... Maths and Chinese are above my expectations :)
So I think the leave taken and time spent is worth it!

Of cos, I know that his English needs more emphasis.... I have been and will continue...

Next Sat gotta go to his school to take his report book as well as to meet BOTH the Form teacher and his Mandarin teacher. Note that not all parents are required to meet the teachers. So, let's see what the teachers gotta say!

Workwise, next wk will be a breather for me from Emails for one wk, better than nothing lah... My colleague will be leading the email team for one week, thereafter, she'll be on leave for one week. Of cos, meanwhile, gotta to do other work also! :>

Keys ...

Ever since zyon starts going to Primary One, he kept forgetting to bring this, bring that...
2 days ago, on Friday, he called me and said that he has forgotten to bring his uniform shorts! *sigh*... Blessing in disguise, hubby was sick and was on his way home. So I told him to pass the shorts to my mil.
After a while, hubby called me and said that my mil was very angry and grumbled that no matter how terrible my sil is with her, at least she is still willing to give her mum (ie. my mil) her house keys!!! Sigh....
Ever since she has shifted to my area few yrs back, she had been indirectly/directly trying to have our housekeys. You may ask me "Why?" I have no idea too. Maybe she just wants it? Maybe she wants to have a sense of belonging? I remember last yr when hubby, zyon & I went to bkk, She also asked for our housekeys from hubby. She say just in case she need to take something for Rachel and she offered to clean our house. But I told hubby there's nothing for her to take anyway and she dun have to trouble herself to clean our house. I refused to give in that time bcos I dunno how to open my mouth to ask her for my keys back!
Why my sil give her a set of her housekeys? Cos my mil used to like to go to her house to stay. ie. without telling them. Subsequently, she cleans up my sil's place for them. (She's paid for that) And now, my mil helps her to take care of her child with her maid. So, she does have a reason for having their housekeys! She likes to go to their house (and our house) without informing us. She has also spoilt many of my sil's things while cleaning her house.
There was once where she came to our house, brought along her clothings and said that she IS going to stay in our house, as usual, without informing us. Then, when we had a maid last time, she would come to our house to visit Rachel (then, a few months old baby) and would tell the maid not to tell us that she had came!?!??!! Even my bro or mum, who had our keys last time, would call me before they come....
No matter what reasons I have, I've lost. Bcos she is the caretaker for zyon now. And she told hubby that what if zyon forgets his things again?! And she flare up.... I told hubby to give her a set of our keys that very night. She is unwell and we couldn't afford to agitate her.... Just as I was telling hubby last night that I hope she will be too scared of hubby to come to our house to do this or that.... This morning, I woke up, finding a packet of breakfast on our dining table!!!
Fast right? *sigh*... You may think that it is so nice of her, blah blah blah... But, I just cannot stand the thought of someone is (was) in my house without my knowledge!!! I got fumed up and wanted to call her... BUT... I know that she is mentally unwell now.... So i got to endure....
In the afternoon, my fil called. Jus nice... I talked to him... He understands my point and he wanted to stop my mil this morning too. But he knows that she will quarrel with him if he try and stop her... I also told him to ask her to call before coming over cos I'm really really not used to it. But he said that it was too early in the morning. Then I told him that to leave breakfast here is ok, but pls stop her if she intends to come to our house to do something else..... He agrees...
*sigh*... I wonder what other fanciful things she is going to do ... gotta keep my fingers crossed ...

Zyon's exams over!

Finally.... Zyon's exams are over! Yippie!!!
I was back in office today for the 1st "full-day" of the month...
Thought that I can clear the emailSSSsss in the taxq mailbox full-time today....
BUT.... got QAC to rush :(
haiz..... End up, only managed to do some approval for the temp staff, clear 4 emails after work... Left office almost 8pm. Still got lots more to go... And tomr is Friday... Nowadays I can only see my own emails for 5mins in the morning, 5 mins before and after lunch and 5 mins before I leave office...
Last Friday I stayed till nearly 9pm! WOnder tomr will be the same... Shld be bah. I haven't been going home sharp since the start of this May. Earliest time I went home was 7pm...
Last time we used to stay till after 9pm almost everyday but I don't feel as tired as now. Somemore, last time we used to stay back together, have dinner together, go gym together or even go quick shopping together!
Now??? :( our partitions are high, colleagues who stayed back AND sitting near you may not be close to you... Colleagues who stayed back AND close to you may not sit near you...
Maybe cos the stuffS (plus other pple's stuff) I'm doing now is too new to me. Last time we have gotten used to the work... Like what hubby say, maybe also cos nowadays I still got to worry abt zyon's work... Last time, I still can bake at night! OMG! Hahaha.... WOnder where has all my energy gone to?!
Old already??? No lah.... I havent reach 30 hor... Jus hope that this adjustment period... coverageS period will be over soon...
I find that when I'm feeling stress, I'll blog more... hahaha.... Guess blogging helps to relieve some of my stress :P

Quite sometime back, zyon and rachel went to try their "outfits" as flower boy and girl for my classmate's wedding in end-May. However, got no time to upload the photos. Here are they:

Busy again ...

It has been a rather month in Apr and May...
Other than the peak filing, it was Zyon's first exam in his life! Pple ard me will know how paranoid I am. Cos his English is really poor :( I can't force him. Can only be patient with him... I'm trying my best not to flare up my temper... I have not been out during the weekends for THREE weekends already!!! It is killing me! Even got to forgo Lyn's house-warming :(
Even so, I didn't do revision with him as planned as he got too much of homework ...
During his exams days, I took half-days so that he can sleep longer and (hopefully) can concentrate better... His last paper will be 9th May... waiting...
Admist all the plannings and such, I was quite prepared already...
BUT... work came... of all the weeks and months, the new scope got to come late last wk! :(
I'm the back-up for the Email team for my buddy team and my team, with 3 temp staff attached to us. As the actual main person is busy with other "stufF", so as a back-up, I got to be "used"... And i got to start with Day 1, which is yesterday... End up, some leave which I planned, I couldn't take! Jus got to keep my fingers crossed as "tentatively" I'm supposed to cover her till 14th/15th May, depending if she can finish her "stuff" in time. And even if it is possible, I still got to cover her for the last week of May as she'll be on leave, and as-and-when she is not around. Hope I will have a breather in between...
Emails are very new to me and the contents are very wide... Guess it is bcos email is so convenient that pple can jus email us as-and-when they like? arghhh...... somemore, we got to clear other pple's backlog..... backlog = difficult and time-consuming cases ...
And, the other officer just went on ML, and I'm being asked to cover her areas... Come to think of it, I looked like a back-up? covering oic? arghhhhh......
If the areas which I'm covering I'm familiar, I'm fine with it... BUT... they are quite alien to me and pple already start asking me abt why this and why that?! So frustrating and disrupting and not interesting at all :( I really really hate to do coverage for things I dunno ...
haiz..... guess it is time to think abt the white envelope (aka resignation) again? hahaha... Let's see if my plan of handing the white envelope will succeed in 2 yrs time...
