Yesterday morning at ard 6.30am, when the sky is still dark, I was preparing breakfast and zyon was facing me and we were talking. Suddenly, he called and pointed to somewhere behind me...
zyon: mummy, look behind u!
mummy: what is that? can jus tell me what is that?! *i dare not turn, imagination running wild...*
zyon: It's rachel! She wake up so early meh?

faintz....

Yesterday afternoon at work, rachel called me during recess:
Rachel: Mummy, die......
Me: what happened?
Rachel: i forgot to bring my recess money! Yesterday I had 50cents left... and now that I used 10cents to call you, I'm only left with 40cents!
Me: *faintz*....

I'm back from Bintan!!!

ENjoyed my trip very muchie! Although we spent quite a fair bit on food, we really enjoyed ourselves! As usual, the lazy-to-take-photo-me didnt bring camera, so all the photos are with celine n jo... gota wait for them to upload the photos @ facebook :P

Upcoming short trip

Wow, another 1 month has passed...
Our gals-only Bintan trip has just been confirmed last wk :>
3 of us will be going WITHOUT our husbands. Actually Eileen would be able to join us, but due to many other reasons, she is unable to join us, we will wait for your Return and organise again!
Hahaha... Although it is a short trip, we are all looking forward to it!
Much discussions on the destination had been going on, cruise, m'sia, batam...
We've finally decided on Bintan! Though Jo has been there numerous times, she don't mind going again.
This is the first trip I'm going with my goodie friends (after marriage). Of cos, I do feel guilty abt leaving my kids behind, but well, just hope to take a break from spore!

Weekly gatherings

I was watching a TV special on Tuesday night on Channel 8. It featured a 3-generation family whereby they meet and gather on a weekly basis @ one of the house. Every gathering will have 30-40 pax. Even on weekdays, some of them have their dinner together at the house, too. Weekdays will be abt 20+pax.
This program reminds me of my grandfather, who will insist all our parents (together with us) to go to his house on every Sunday. We have been doing this since young, till he passed away in 1989. Thats why I'm very close to my maternal relatives, my dearest cousins, aunties and uncles.
Thereafter, we still make it a point to visit my grandmother. After she has passed away in 2003, we still meet, but not as frequently. I guess partly it is bcos our grandparents are no longer ard, partly cos we have our own family and commitment. In these recent 2 yrs or so, the frequency has dropped even further :(
I really miss those times. I know that the weekly gatherings will not happen again, but I do hope our r/ships and close bondings will stay, even to the future generations coming along ...

School reopens ...

School has started and I'm getting stress...
Not really on academics but on expectations of Rachel. She has been telling lies on how she used her pocket money, etc, etc. She has been buying snacks and ice-creams although we told her to eat proper meals like rice or noodles. Perhaps we are too strict with her? Shld I let go of her completely?
*sigh* She is so different as compared to Zyon. Of cos, there are no two individuals who have the same character. But the difference between my 2 kids are just way too different!
I can't use the same approach for the 2 kids. While I give Zyon excercises to do, I gave to rachel, too. She complained tt I gave her too much. In actual fact, I gave her half of what I used to give Zyon. When I told her tt, guess how she replied? "可是， 我没有兴趣做！" *faintz*

Recently has been so lag in updating my blog, partly cos my own PC has crashED... Am using hubby's laptop. Quite uncomfortable sitting down. Next month onwards our study desk would arrive and I would be more than willing to use his laptop. Mayb will consider getting a new desktop? THe crashED one has been with me (us) for at least 5 yrs mayb? Lost count liao...
