HFMD

Rachel had a fever 2 days ago (Friday) and I had to go home from office. Although her school is closed, i still had to bring her home from my mil's house as my niece is at my mil's house. I don't want her to get caught with any virus.
I was afraid that Rachel may get HFMD (aka Hand Foot Mouth diesease). This illness is contagious. There isn't any major risks or complications for children above 1 yr old. Adults can get it too. Her school has reported several of such cases. This is not the 1st time and usually I will still send her to school...
Anyway, doctor only said that Rachel is "suspected" HFMD... ASked to bring her back to the clinic on Monday if other symptoms occurs. So I monitored her for rashes and such. Her fever was up till 40 degrees (as usual)... It was not easy to monitor her for rashes as she has enzyma. How to differentiate?! I wasnt sure too! Until Saturday afternoon, it was quite obvious and by evening, i was 95% sure that she has HFMD. Being an anxious mum, I didn't wait till Monday to bring her back, since the clinic is open on Sat nights, I brought her back and YES, she confirmed has HFMD.
Doctor say it will usually take 5-7 days to recover and when the rashes go away, I will need to bring her back for certification so that she can go back to school... Got 1 wk's child mc...
Actually I can go back to work the following monday, but i told hubby to take care of her on Friday as we will be receiving our annual increment/promotion/performance bonus letters this coming Friday! hahaha.... Bo liao right? That's me! No promotion for me, but I'm eager to see the rest of the contents in the letter(s) for me!

Rachel's Talent???

I always says that zyon's studies are weak... Even during the recent Meet the parent's session, his teacher didn't really mention much good abt him... His best scored subject, Chinese, got the worst criticism from the chinese teacher... He is in the 23th position out of 29 students. Well, actually, zyon has a keen interest in Art since he knows how to hold and use a pen...

Comparatively, I think that Rachel's studies will be better... However, since the day she can hold and use a pen, her art has been terrible.... hahaha.... Look at the above pictures... Can anyone guess what she is drawing? Her daddy could guess it correctly though :)

Rachel's 1st ballet class

Yesterday was Rachel's 1st ballet class. The class was so popular that I got to book in advance! It is @ one of the CC. Initially I thought that since it was a Saturday, my mil can send her there. I can "escape"... But of cos, 1st lesson, I can't skip right?

After that, I realised that I HAVE to be there so that I can ensure that she practices and that her steps are correct at home! Of cos, I dunno how long her "burning" interest will last... But at least one term...

OMG!!! WHich means all my weekend mornings are burnt... Cos ZYon got to attend I can Read on SUnday mornings. At the same neighbourhood, too. I'm sick and tired of this place already... Haiz...Can see rachel? The K.P.O. one in yellow top and pink pants...

Primary school Gathering... 1st in this yr

Last Friday 1st June we had our primary school gathering. The usual 5 of us met up at vivocity's Kim HK Gary Restaurant (Something like that) The food was quite yummy and prices are reasonable! Although the queue was LONG, it was quite fast and worth... Both western and chinese food :>
Thereafter, we went Tiong Bahru's McDonalds to chit chat till past 12 midnight before shumei's bf sent us back! So nice of him as there aren't 火车 ard that time... I used 火车 shumei kept using that instead of "MRT" or "trains"... hahaha...
We will usu have 1-3 gathering(s) each year. And they always accomodate to my timings :> This year, I told them I can only meet them during school holidays. Hahaha...
ANyway, our next gathering will be during Catherine's wedding in Nov. Maybe will meet before that so that she can pass us the invitation cards :>
Thomas is the longest pal I have in this group. Since 1988... Near to 20 years hor.... omg......

The first ever actual Day of Flower Gal & Page boy!

Last sunday 27 May was the 1st ever of the actual Day of being Flower Gal & Page boy for Rachel & Zyon! All went well except that it was an extremely HOT day @ Sentosa Beach for the solemnisation.

Zyon wasn't really looking forward but Rachel was! Fei-yiyi even prepared a small bouquet of flowers for her! Some friends commented that they looked at the flower gal more than the bride! *proud*... hahaha...
During the 2nd march-in, Rachel even questioned me why they aren't required to do the march-in again??! I think she is addicted... hahaha
