Relationships ...
Relationships are very very wonderful and cannot be explained. R/ship is a never-ending coaster ride.
It also depends which point of view u r in.
Whether you are the guy? the gal? the guy's frens? the gal's frens? the guy's family? the gal's family? It also matters whether u r married or not.
As a daughter-in-law, son-in-law, things are difft. Not easy to adapt to each other's family. From simple things like eating habits, way of arranging things at home, etc etc.
We must also learn to let go... We need space of our own when we have our partner. Similarly, pple ard us who are attached/married needs to have time of their own too! We can't expect the usual turnout during gatherings... We can no longer expect pple ard us to be free whenever we expect them to be.
I myself can't afford to spend all my weekends with my relatives as we used to be, before marriage. I would luv to! But family commitments, frens commitments are way too many! We jus got to prioritise. Hence, I treasured every dinners or "outings" I have with my relatives... Although it is not as frequent as it used to be, the quality is getting better!
Luckily, hubby understands that and is quite supportive :)
R/ship with hubby is ever-changing... We encounter difft phases in our life and jus got to adapt cos r/ship is a never-ending coaster ride!
Relationship is a committment. We jus to need keep things going on! If it becomes flat, find ways to re-kindle that little sparkle hidden beneath! We need that trigger, regardless of how many days/months/yrs we are together, regardless married or not...
If you don't have the slightest idea of that trigger, talk to the pple closest ard you, they will surely give u some ideas!
